I feel like I am ALWAYS working on at least one project around the house and yet the to do list keeps getting longer and longer. This is my spring/summer 2013 list.
Outside:
Stain screened porch interior walls- Add exterior outlets to deck
- Repaint green patio furniture
- Stain mailbox post
- Revamp Adirondack chairs
- Build ship mast
- Install second zip line
- Repaint chalk top table
- Install flagstone patios
- Weed/prep raised planter beds
- Prep remaining gardens (weed, spray, fertilize, grub control)
- Plant annuals
- Plant containers
- Build custom storage for shed
- Move workbench to other side of garage and make a storage place for everything
Clean out garage- Build bench(es) for table and find chairs
- Clean out sandbox, finish installing retaining wall
- Install the shade sails I bought last year
- Fill in hole for old outdoor shower
- Move old table to deck, reupholster chairs in outdoor fabric
- Wash and stain deck floor
- Replace railing on deck/stairs
- Add new planting areas
Inside:
- Sew laundry room curtains
- Caulk counters in master bath
- Make vanity area into dirty clothes area
- Paint/hang WASH letters for laundry room
- Hang ironing board
- Tear carpet off main staircase and re-finish stairs and landing
- Polyurethane stairs
- Replace 3 spindles
- Hang surfboard from staircase wall
- Purchase and paint dresser for girls’ room
- Paint daybed for girls’ room
- Paint side tables in living room
- Repaint kitchen table and benches and reupholster bench cushions
- Touch up paint in hallways/stairs
- Make/paint artwork for staircase
- Paint upstairs doors and trim
Replace door knobs upstairs- Replace and paint knobs on kitchen cabinets
- Install curtain tiebacks in dining room
- Make artwork from old magazines
- Paint magazine files for laundry room
- Redo floor and door trim throughout first floor
- Recover 3 lampshades in living room
- Paint storage cabinets in living room
- Redo chairs I’ve had forever
- Redo bar cart I’ve had forever
- Make shower curtain for guest bath
- Paint/install knobs for Zoe’s desk, paint inside doors, install shelves
- Repaint top of desk and apply polyacrylic
- Bring bed from office to boy’s room, replace legs to make platform height
- Build command central/craft island in office
- Reorganize entire office
- Repaint dresser from office, move to bedroom
- Retrofit dresser to hide cables/wires
- Close up weird lookout window over staircase
